About Me

Hi! Thanks for stopping by to meet me. My name is Jani Wilkens, and I am the owner of Fisher Photography, LLC. You may wonder where the Fisher comes from. My maiden name was Fisher, and I was originally introduced to photography by my mom, who also owned a business in Michigan with the same name. It just seemed fitting to keep the original inspiration as part of my business name.

I love photography. I love being around people. With the click of a shutter, I can pause fleeting moments of life. Offering this talent to others brings me great joy. A great image contains so much more than just the subjects within the frame. It contains laughter, memory, personality, relationships, flaws, beauty, and most of all, life. Photography is a form of art to be cherished for a lifetime. 

When I don't have a camera in my hand, I'm also a wife, mother to two children, high school English teacher, and owner of a slobbering yellow lab. I love church on Sunday mornings, a good book of nonfiction and listening to my children play together.
